OUR INITIATIVES
Currently we are working on creating care packages for women and children in need. These packages will consist of essential items such as personal hygiene products, protective equipment, gift cards and packaged food. For further detail into what will be included in the care packages please visit our Get Involved page. The items in the care packages will be collected in the form of items and financial donations from local businesses and people in the community. These care packages will be delivered to _____ women's shelter on___ 2020.

Hi everyone! My name is Ella and I'm a grade 12 student at A.B. Lucas Secondary School. Some of my passions include science, languages, the arts, and social justice. I love my role at Champions of Change because it allows me to take leadership for causes I believe in, build new connections, and collaborate with a brilliant team. I've been with COC since the beginning, and it continues to amaze me how much we can accomplish when united in our goals.

Hi friend! My name is Yichen, a Grade 12 student at A.B. Lucas Secondary School. I joined Champions of Change in the fall of 2020, and now I am a co-board chair. I'm grateful for the experiences this organization has given me, and the people I've met. In my free time, I love to play the piano and spend time outside.

Hi! I'm Jenn Xu, a first year at the University of Toronto. I'm passionate about the arts and sciences, as well as social justice. I've been a member of the organization since its humble beginnings as a school club back in 2018, and I hope to grow with the organization through the years. In my spare time I enjoy singing, spending time with friends, and playing the kalimba.

Hi there! My name is Tanya and I'm the secretary at Champions of Change. I first joined the organization in 2019, and I've had a great experience engaging in all it's initiatives ever since. Outside of school I love to play piano, dance, read, swim, and spend time with family.

Advocating and serving as the current Board Director of Initiatives, Katelyn is grateful to have the privilege of working with such an amazing team for the past three years, and is optimistic for what the future holds.

Zahra Nadeem is the Executive Director of Finance at Champions of Change. Other than school and community work, she enjoys martial arts, and photography and loves to sit down with a good book. She is passionate about human rights and social justice, starting with her work here at Champions of Change.

Hi! My name is Isabel and I am a student at Catholic Central High School. I am one of the Initiatives Project Managers here at Champions of Change. I joined the organization in May of 2021, and I am so thankful that I have had the chance to make connections with so many amazing people.
